A CIVIL WAR CHRISTMAS - Civilians in period attire will be decorating the home for the first holiday celebration since the War began, and members of the 60th Virginia Infantry will portray a typical winter encampment with soldiers demonstrating different aspects of camp life. The camp will open from noon to 4 pm on Saturday and will break on Sunday morning. Tours of the Jubal Early Homeplace will take place on Sunday. More details will be forthcoming later. The entire weekend will be celebrated with special events throughout Franklin County including Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas as well as Booker T. Washington Monument Christmas Celebration. We encourage you to join in all the celebrations of the season.
